Bucket 'o Balls

Astigmatism [uh-stig-muh-tiz-uhm] a refractive error of the eye in which parallel rays of light from an external source do not converge on a single focal point on the retina; in other words, crappy eyesight. Crappy eyesight, and poor hand-eye coordination, don't make for the beginning of a great golfer, however, husband John convinced me to hit a bucket of balls at the driving range with him (his treat).

We headed up to the Montclair Golf Course in the Oakland Hills where you can find a small par 3 course and nice driving range.
John plunked down the $16 for a large and small bucket of balls,
gave me two pointers and off we went. The two pointers: 1) keep your head down, and 2) keep your head down. I got two more bonus pointers, 1) keep your head down and then, keep your left heel down. So with those tips, I began swinging.

I started out slowly--I hit the ball, but towards the end, I was smacking them out 75 yards and one time, 100 yards! If I hadn't become distracted by a pair of sociopath 6 year old boys trying to hit a cat that had wandered onto the course, it would have been a lovely morning.
