Go Warriors!

Thanks to my favorite new Web site, Goldstar.com, I procured 4 tickets to the Warriors game tonight ($15 each). Friends Sue, Pete and Kaya joined me in "doing a little different" tonight.

Let me be honest, I'm easily distracted. I'm fairly certain that at one point the Warriors were only 1 point behind, but with all of the shiny objects, flashing lights, spying down at Gary Radnich through binoculars and between-play entertainment, I don't really recall much of the game itself.

I can say definitively that in order to be a Warrior Girl, you must: a) fit in tight, short, shorts, b) have long hair, and c) master the hairography. Probably the best part of the game was the basketball gymnastics. This is where three guys run down the court (not dribbling), land on a springboard (think gymnastics), flip in the air and dunk the ball--truly amazing and worth every penny of the $15 ticket price, if only for that three minutes of truly fine showmanship.

We stayed through to the bitter end, and in the end we were glad to have done something a little different on this Friday night.

  • Life Changing: 1 (no)
  • Fun: 3 (fun)
  • Easy to implement: 1 (easy)
  • Worthy of repetition: 3 (it's kind of a once-a-year thing at best)
  • Try This: 3/4 (are you a sports fan?)
  • Cost: 2 ($15 isn't bad, but man they getcha on the beer & dogs at $11 and $5.50 respectively)
