What do mommies, babies, books and yoga have in common? me.
Today I visited my former fabulous boss, now friend, Nicole and her semi-new baby, Dylan & dog, Jasper for a lovely walk and tasty lunch, and a little girl talk in Redwood City. We lounged a bit in her ginormous house as we caught up on stuff. We then walked around "the burbs", strolling with Dylan, very cute in his little sunglasses, and me holding Jasper's leash as we marked the neighborhood - well, Jasper marked the neighborhood.

Then I trotted up to San Francisco for book club with Dayna (a mom), Charla (a soon to be mom), Diana (former dog owner), Sue (dog and cat owner), and Christina (cat owner, and likely future mom). Where we discussed our selections, "Catcher in the Rye" (it was an alternate selection_, and "The Queen's Gambit".
We had a rousing discussion about the book, where four out of six participants clearly enjoyed the book while two out of six felt it was fairly one dimensional. We noshed, discussed how we actually do read and discuss books, but then we moved onto babies (I'm agnostic), pets (Dayna's agnostic), and Yoga (Charla is 32 weeks pregnant and still does Yoga - very impressive--see photo).
We ended by picking our next selection, picking our next location (Charla's as we'll need to be close to her home) and setting a date prior to Charla's due date. With the weather beautiful and sunny and most certainly Spring-like, it was definitely a good girls day.
