Thwarted! And hungry.

Rather than wander looking for another trough to chow from we found a nice cafe for a $50 breakfast (sigh).
The trip through city center showed how buckets of money don't guarantee a good retail experience. W A nice guard gave us a private tour of the center-what there was. For a city w/o a water source, they are very proud of their "water features". The center had several, one with a special surprise (ice).
After years of coming to Vegas, I had never been to the Liberace museum. This guy was the original "king of bling".

Crystal covered rolls royces (plural), rings on all of his fingers, and girl, he had a crystal covered microphone long before Christina or Brittany!

The tour guides were enthusiastic about what he did for Vegas and showmanship.
Tired, but still going strong we went to the Venetian to see Craig Ferguson- hilarous! And not what you would expect from his tame tv show- definitely adult humor, and a tad bit bawdy.
Finally, for my first time ever, I sat down at a blackjack table. Not to get too excited- we found $1.00 tables at the Sahara (one step up from Fremont Street). A bunch of sad sacks, and I was right there with them, toodling along with my safe dollar bets- ending the evening ahead by $10. Who says you can't leave Vegas a winner?
