Lucky me! I work about a block and a half from an ultra cool bar called DaDa. Deeply in need of an adult beverage, my friend Cheryl and I ventured the short distance to the bar. As she was locking up her bike, a flurry of people began streaming into the bar. Cheryl decried, "it's like clowns pouring into a tiny space - they keep coming and coming." And come they did. We seemed to make it in just in time to grab a seat by the window - if we hadn't, surely we would have been standing uncomfortably crowded into the narrow space.
Luck was with us. We got in, got a seat, got a drink and happily realized that perhaps much of the ado was about $5.00 martinis! Where I had thought, "ooh, Cheryl is being cheeky ordering a fancy drink", I realized that she was being a savvy patron, and I happily followed. The drinks were good and if it weren't a "school night" I probably would have had a second round (at $5.00, isn't that almost
like a BOGO? I thought so.)We agreed that this could in fact become a habit. DaDa Ya Ya I say.
