what is god?

Diesel books on College avenue hosted Jacob Needleman reading from his book, "What Is God?" I was disappointed listening to professor Needleman. I imagined myself sitting in one of his classes listening to his monotone voice rambling about his view of his own theology based on a childhood revelation while gazing at stars.

I love a good theological discussion, but this turned out to be an amble down memory lane and what God meant to this man. Perhaps I should have researched prior to making the short drive, but I was hoping that this would turn into a rousing discussion. Instead, after the professor finished reading (nearly 40 minutes!), I quietly folded up my chair and stalked out angry that I had wasted my precious evening time. Based on this reading, I wouldn't waste my $24.95.

There were close to 100 people crammed into this tiny independent bookstore. Now I'm curious about just how many books they sold...

  • Life Changing: 1 (nope)
  • Fun: 1 (hardly)
  • Easy to implement: 1 (easy)
  • Worthy of repetition:1 (not unless you have trouble sleeping)
  • Try This: 1 (I'm trying to spare you)
  • Cost: 1 (free)
