My Philosophy: life is a series of timed events. Some may call it fate, kismet, destiny, or God's Will...to me it is what it is, but it is meted out in small, bite-sized pieces. Today, all of my timed events were like a symphony, every note played to the conductor's baton.
Friday's symphony:
- This morning I entered the BART station, paid my parking fee, strolled up the escalator and walked straight onto a train.
- At lunch, I walked across the street to grab a small gift for an employee and ran into a work friend, allowing us to catch up socially.
- At 4 p.m. I walked down to Embarcadero Center to catch the 4:20 showing of "The Last Station". I mistakenly walked past EC1 to EC4, realized my error and got back in time to sit down as the previews started rolling.
- After the movie I walked down to the BART station and ran into a High School friend. We caught up on the train.
- Exiting the train, I looked across the tracks and saw my former landscape architect.
- I found a parking place directly in front of the video store, and found a copy of my new release movie "The Hurt Locker".
Sometime everything is askew and timing is just off - but today, well, today I need to check my lottery ticket.
