I got an iPhone! It was a bit like the DMV. You wait impatiently inline until your number is called and then you jump through hoops to pay for something you need to have. After the Monday phone debacle (my cell phone died/John left his in the car/we weren't sure where to meet each other) I really did NEED to get a phone. I had been barraged with calls, letters and personal appearances by AT&T promoting their U-verse, so I figured why not? Their $300 money back (by way of Visa gift cards) promo was ending soon, and I had every intention of consolidating our billing. We have AT&T home phone and DSL, but not cell or t.v. The last time I spoke with someone, we could save $40/month by bundling (aka give your entire universe to AT&T). So I drank the kool-aid. Besides, ever since we switched from Tivo to Dish DVR I've been terribly unhappy with the service. AND...although I hardly ever (cough cough) watch t.v. anymore, I love the idea of being able to tape up to four (count 'em), four shows at one time! That means, Hoarders, Project Runway, American Idol and something else could all be taped at the same time - not that I ever really watch t.v. anymore or anything (cough, cough).
Now the hard part...learning to use a new phone...Although I've entered the new millennium with my new device, and I can get "apps", I've got to learn how to use the darned thing. The good side of being a late adopter, is that everyone else can tell you the "best way" to do things. So today I quickly and easily got my calendar synced and my address book pulled in - easy peasy fo-cheesy. Next step, figure out how to make calls (sigh).
