Mahal Monday

Mondays are tough. Drag yourself back to work and get psyched for four more days of working for "The Man". It's even tougher when you're forcing back a cold from sweeping in and knocking you on your ass.

John drove into SF and picked me up on Mission Street. Yes, I looked like a hooker waiting for my "John" in my leopard print, fake fur coat, but what was a girl to do--I needed a ride.

We had dinner on Filmore Street at Via Veneto, a decently priced restaurant. I enjoyed a white bean soup and gnocci with a light tomato sauce with mozzarella. John had linguinni with clams and the house salad. I thought the food was decent and well priced, but John was a bit underwhelmed.

After dinner we headed to Yoshi's to see our friend Eric Levy's band Garaj Mahal. We ran into friends Pamela & Bo (BISS List), and John's friend Ron, another drummer.

After struggling to get up the energy to get out, we ended up having a good time. It was good to get out and start the week out on a fun note.
