I "managed" to get a free ticket through my new favorite site Goldstar to a comedy show at Miss Pearl's Jam House-- good thing too as I was "packed in" with the other 14 guests.
I suppose the experience would have been different had the room been full, but you gotta feel for the comics who have to play off a semi-empty room. A lot of the blame is on the venue who did little to promote the event. That said, after the emcee and the opener, the show actually took off. Props to Morgan who did a stellar job - great routine from a Transitional Woman (2 years in). She was hilarious and I wanted to be her new best friend.

My criticism: the restaurant is trying to be too many things. It's nearly impossible for the poor comics to engage an audience when you have patrons coming in and out to dine and they are sharing the room with the bar and the restaurant is going full force.

- Life Changing: 1 (nope)
- Fun: 3 (fun)
- Easy to implement: 1 (easy)
- Worthy of repetition: 3 (mmm...could be)
- Try This: 4 (why not)
- Cost: 1 ($3.50 plus a beer)
