If you're at a Salon, the word Brazilian may have one meaning while for me, it simply means food and music. We headed south to Senzala Brazilian Restaurant, in Sunnyvale, to hear our friend, Vic Little, play (bass). We decided to splurge a bit and get a room at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose. They were having a special and...why not? A night away from home, from "the kids", it would be--something a little different.
We walked into a cavernous restaurant with a nice sized stage. The restaurant was more like a cafeteria. Well, it was a cafeteria. You grabbed a tray, walked up along a food line, placed your order by number, and were handed a plate. You continued down the line to pay. After that, you never saw another employee--not to get the plate, or the tray, or to ask if you needed something else to drink. It was a tad bit surreal.

In spite of the odd set up, the music and food were both enjoyable. It wasn't a place I'd go back to though - it's too far south, in a strange location, and the atmosphere just didn't cut it. As for ratings...
- life changing: no way
-fun: sure
- easy to implement: sure
- repeat? not likely
- price: eh - medium (dinner was $16, but there was a $10 cover
